INVESTIGATING DISEASE AND PREVENTION
INTRODUCTION:
You have to study about causes of diseases and how it spreads in the island. The investigation includes how to control and prevent the spread of illness. The diseases are malaria, cholera, smallpox, thalassemia, flu.
TASK:
Your job in this Web Quest is to learn about diseases that have affected people for past five years. You will investigate five different diseases to learn how scientists have worked to prevent their spread among populations. You will answer a set of questions about these diseases and their prevention to demonstrate what you have learned.
TIME:
A week to finish this project
PROCESS:
1. Survey in the island.
2. Draw a table and write the data in the table of your own pattern. It should contain:
A) The cause of diseases.
B) The infected persons for the past five years.
C) How the disease was controlled?
D) What were the measures taken?
3. If possible collect the pictures of the diseases and the infected persons.
